Protégez-Vous is a non-profit organization that provides consumers with independent evaluations and expert advice to help them make informed choices. Through rigorous testing and independent surveys, they offer practical guides, decision-making tools, and impartial recommendations.
In line with the mission of the Protégez-Vous magazine, Verdict santé specifically aims to cover health, wellness, and nutrition with the same rigor.
Our mandate was to create the digital version of Verdict santé magazine.
The first step of the project was the design proposal. The design team worked closely with the content editors to create an attractive and user-friendly website. They chose calming colors, rounded borders, and a simple layout to facilitate navigation.
The second step of the project was setting up the multisite using the Ibexa DXP. Since Verdict santé is a distinct property from the main Protégez-Vous site, it was important to create a website that was clearly separate from the main property while maintaining some brand continuity. The multisite setup allowed for two distinct websites while sharing resources such as users, the database, store mechanics, and the codebase.
The third step was managing permissions between the two properties. Since Protégez-Vous and Verdict santé have protected resources that are only accessible to their members, it was important to ensure that only authorized users could access certain parts of both websites. The development team implemented permissions to ensure that users could only access the parts of the two websites that they were entitled to.
The fourth step was to transfer some of the content from the Protégez-Vous site to the Verdict santé site to establish an initial content base. The development team worked closely with the content editors, who selected the most relevant articles for the new website. The articles were reorganized to fit the new website's navigation structure.
In terms of design, one of the challenges that motivated the Toumoro team was to set up a new site with a new visual identity while maintaining familiarity with the parent site. Through co-creation workshops, the Toumoro design team was able to quickly grasp the vision, mission, and objectives of the project in order to create a modern and intuitive experience.
At the beginning of the project, it was essential to fully understand the project in order to have a holistic view of the mandate. This shared understanding of the project allowed for a competitive analysis and strategy to present an appropriate moodboard for the project. In parallel, the development team was able to conduct proof of concepts, feasibility testing, and contribute to the drafting of technical specifications. Once these steps were completed, the project as a whole was executed in Agile mode.
